White Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 1/4 cups sifted cake flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 8 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Directions
Cream butter and sugar; add flour, baking powder and milk, altnernately. Add vanilla. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in three 9 inch round cake pans or 2 large loaf pans at 375(F).
