Baked Bean Sandwich

Ingredients

  • Baked beans
  • bacon (fried crisp)
  • lots of grated cheddar cheese
  • bread slices (your choice)



Directions

I saw this on the Taste of Home message board and I have to say, it really looks good:)

Spread baked beans on a slice of bread. Top with bacon and cheddar cheese and place under the broiler until bubbly.

Very simple and economical.

Baked Cheese Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 12 slices bread
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • Butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 C. milk



Directions

Cut off crusts and spread bread with butter. Place cheese between 2 slices. Place sandwiches side by side in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Beat eggs with milk. Pour over sandwiches and let stand for 1 hour or overnight. Bake 1/2 hour at 350ºF.
Serve with cream of mushroom soup slightly diluted with milk poured over the top and warmed.

Baked Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups cooked diced chicken (or tuna or ham)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can of chicken gravy
  • 2 Tbl. of chopped pimento (or celery, mushrooms, etc.)
  • 2 Tbl. chopped onion
  • 1 cup sliced water chestmuts
  • 1 bag potato chips



Directions

Cut the crust off of 16 slices of white or french bread. Make 8 sandwiches with the above chicken or ham or tuna filling. Wrap them in foil and freeze overnight, or for several days.

Crush a bag of potato chips. Mix together 4 beaten eggs and 2 Tbl. of milk. Dip the frozen sandwiches in the egg mixture and roll in crushed potato chips. Place sandwiches on a greased cookie sheet. Bake 1 hour @ 300 º. Do not turn them.

They are delicious! Enjoy

Barbequed Slaw Burger

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. Bar B Q Beef sliced, then chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 bottle barbecue sauce
  • 1 sauce bottle water
  • 5 to 6 T. brown sugar
  • Buns
  • Cole slaw
  • Whole lot of napkins!:)



Directions

Chop bbq Brisket
Place onions , barbecue sauce, water and brown sugar into sauce pan , bring to boil; simmer for 20 minutes.
Place the brisket into the sauce and give a good toss, coating it well. Place on a bun and top with creamy coleslaw:)

Yields about 10 servings.

Beef Lovers Dream Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 cups seasoned onions
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 to 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 3 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 to 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 3 tbsp whipping cream
  • 6 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 3 lbs cooked steak or roast beef sliced thinly
  • swiss cheese slices
  • sliced rolls



Directions

Melt butter in skillet over medium high heat. Cook onions with sugar in skillet unitl lightly browned about 10 to 15 minutes. Remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Add mushrooms to skillet with garlic and cook over medium heat until mushrooms begin to just brown. Remove from skillet.

Add beef broth to skillet and deglaze pan. Simmer for 5 to 6 minutes scraping browned bits. Add whipping cream, worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, the onions, and mushrooms. Heat through. Add sliced beef.

Serve on toasted buns with sliced cheese. Garnish as desired.
