Melting Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 t. butter flavoring
  • 1/2 c. cornstarch
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 lb. butter (I use half butter and half margarine), softened



Directions

Cream butter; add sugar gradually and beat until fluffy. Sift flour and cornstarch together then add gradually to creamed mixture. Drop by rounded teaspoonful on cookie sheet. Bake at 325º until edges are lightly browned, about 15-20 mins.

These are delicate cookies and will not mail well.
